"High Heel" Cupcakes

For our Young Womens in Excellence our theme was "Standing in Holy Places". Each girl brought a shoe or sock to explain what they did for their personal progress. So when I saw these adorable High Heel cupcakes on pinterest, I had to make them for the dessert. My friend Wendy Thueson helped me, or it would have taken forever to make 70. But it was way fun! Everyone loved them, so it was worth all the work.

I got to make this cake with my talented friend Wendy Thueson. It was so much fun!

This is a hard wood floor I made out of fondant for the shoes to sit on. It is such a fun challenge to try to make things look real using fondant.

 My Mali got a "Cool Shark" cake for his 6th birthday at his swimming party in June. It was one of the more challenging ones for me. My neighbor was awesome enough to help me make a frame for the mouth so it could be open and not coulapse. Malakai was so excited for this "cool" cake. He was so adament about not having a baby cake.Im so glad this cake passed the test.

"Fabulous Purse" Cake

 My mother-in-law just turned Fabulous 50 last April, so I wanted to make her a special cake. Decided a designer purse cake would be perfect. She loved it! She also got a yummy "Tres Leche" cake. I loved how the strawberry flower on top turned out.

 I loved doing this colorful and fun cake for Via's 2nd birthday in April. Owls and birds are my favorite lately, and Via is our little birdie. She really loved it.
